Buy Local is an education and marketing campaign encouraging Annapolis area residents to shop at local independently-owned businesses. By doing so we:

- Support and strengthen our local workforce and economy

Chesapeake Sustainable Business Alliance
We are an alliance that educates the public on the importance of supporting the local economy, and encourages businesses and consumers to be environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.
We envision a sustainable global economy as a network of Local Living Economies, building long-term economic empowerment and prosperity in communities through local business ownership, economic justice, cultural diversity and a healthy natural environment. Independent businesses create wealth by engaging local people in the production, marketing, and consumption of goods, they pay taxes, and reinvest in our communities.

The Maryland Green Registry is a voluntary, self-certification program offering tips and resources to help organizations set and meet their own goals on the path to sustainability.

MDV-SEIA is the voice of the solar industry in the Mid-Atlantic region. A nexus of information and advocacy, we speak out on solar legislation, codes and standards issues in Richmond, Annapolis and the District, seeking better financing and broader consumer awareness.
NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to the research, development, commercialization and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Backed by 32 years of achievement, NREL leads the way in helping meet the growing demand for clean energy.
The Potomac Region Solar Energy Association (PRSEA) is a non-profit organization whose purposes are to further the development, use of, and support for solar energy and related arts, sciences, and technologies with concern for the economic, environmental, and social fabric of the region.
This is a free public service providing a convenient, trusted means for estimating solar, wind and renewable energy system costs, running payback and financial analysis, and accessing contractor, installer and other professional services in the renewable energy and energy efficiency fields. We also provide a directory of solar and wind original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) and distributors.Based in Washington D.C., the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), is a non-profit resource for information about solar technologies, policies and programs. SEPA focuses on working with
electric utilities, but provides value with all businesses that have an interest in solar power .
