INDOOR POOL SOLAR HEATING

Indoor pools and hot tubs use SO MUCH energy on a year-round basis that solar energy is the most cost-effective way to go.

In general, most solar water heating systems will naturally include your domestic hot water needs. The more applications you use your solar collector for - the more bang for your buck! The ideal thermal solar system would provide year-round domestic hot water, heat your hot tub/spa/pool in the summer and be used for space heating in the winter. The costs up front for such a system would be the only disadvantage. However, payback would be inevitable in as little as 7 years and then all your thermal energy needs would be free for around the next 25 years!

$AVINGS: There has never been a better time for solar. Marylanders currently pay as little as 50% of an installed solar system.
MD State provides a 20% grant and the Federal Government provides 30% in tax credits. Howard County residents have a further $1500 in grants bringing their costs down to only 40% of the total system cost. To initiate your *grant go to

*grants will only apply to pool systems that are integrated with a solar domestic hot water/space heating system.
